Middle Cove towards Castle Cove

The ninth walk in Walking Sydney: Fifteen walks with a city's writers is with linguist Professor Jakelin Troy, Ngarigu woman of the Snowy Mountains region. This walk takes us through Cammeraygal Country, from an avenue of lovely old gums in suburban Willoughby to a bright bushland ridge in Middle Cove. As we walk, Jaky talks of writing emotional history, connecting with Country through making art, and the ways in which Aboriginal people use language to articulate relationship and responsibility to place.
